Launch of “Team Cape Town” event

28 September 2011 One Comment
I made my way to another Top Dawg event over the weekend. This time around it was the launch of “Team Cape Town” event. With the support of everyone, they were able to host an exceptionally successful event. This took place at Excelsior High in Belhar on Saturday, 24th September, yeah on “National Braai Day”! Once again we were blessed with some awesome Spring weather. A total of three “Show and Shine” events took place on this particular day but still most of the crowd and showstoppers decided to take a drive to the Northern Suburbs of Cape Town to show support.
Once again some nice cars were on display, a mix of some old faces and new comers to the scene. Cape Town must be the home of car clubs because a number of car clubs came out to support the launch! Team SRD, Autopunks, Venom Designs, and Volk Edition were some of the car clubs and OUR club, Team Cars R us! I didn’t know that I was part of this club until Saturday-lol. We are the regular show guys-me, Neville Varney, Apollo, Caddylicious, Dinky Toy, CORT-IN-DA-ACT, fanTAZZtic and Claxton. Pulling up late was King Cobra and his crew from Venom Designs, Abdul Sayed and wife Yumna, making his presence felt! On the sound side there were three dB reading stations with unlimited dB testing for only R50 throughout the day. Heads off to Team Autopunks, Boyz Toyz and Deaf Row Audio for pulling this one off! Some sound clubs like Team dB, BassMaster Inc. and Audio Inc were some of the sound clubs that bass box one another! For results, check out Deaf row Audio’s facebook page. This time around, no show and shine competitor left empty handed-even me and I was only judging the show and shine! I was even spoilt with a nice plate of Braai meat from Abubakur and Rizquah-awesome!
