Mixed bag of Hotrods Championships with Formula N Circuit Racing and Koepel Club Off Road Racing @ Rock Raceway

The dramatic sounds of engines roaring into life and the rich fuel smells being emitted from the exhaust outlets as the unburned gasses waft into the black of night as the adrenalin filled racing drivers berry their heavy foot on the loud pedals to gain the advantage over their rivals on track at the renowned Rock Raceway circuit, in various categories of oval tar racing on the 12th March 2011 will once again send frequented petrol heads who follow this exciting category of motor racing to the end.

The oval action will also be accompanied by the first round of the Formula N championships where stock standard production cars limited to a maximum of 1640cc that have had their interiors guttered out and fitted with roll cages will start the season of racing after the launch at the previous oval event. With the mounting interest of this type of circuit racing building, Formula B and C classes will follow suite shortly with up to 2L categories being implemented for those guys and girls looking for just that extra HP under the controlling hot foot.

Then another first for Rock Raceway as the Koepel Club Off Road racing fraternity will make their début with various categories and disciplines of two wheelers, Quads, Sand Masters, Buggies and Side X Sides Off Road Racing Vehicles as they will venture on the off road section of the Rock Raceway venue. Spectators will get to see these off roaders in action as some of the competitors will wonder onto the oval and long circuit demonstrating to racing fans what off road racing is all about. The Koepel Club will kick off their events on Saturday as follows;

Documentation and briefing will be between 07H00 to 09H30
Racing starts 10H00 for the off roaders.

The Hotrod fans can start to make their way to the oval circuit from 12AM when gates officially opens for business as the drivers will be on and off track for practice
The oval fanatics will be pleased to hear that this year the first three positions of every category of the previous event will now have to start at the back of the field. This means that racing is about to get a whole lot faster and more exciting. Drivers will have to work extremely harder to get to the front of the grid, paving the way for adrenalin nail biting racing action.

So come support your favourite driver and vehicle manufacture by wearing their branded cap, shirt or jacket, let’s see who are the Ford, Nissan, Mini, Mazda fans etc.

• 2L Saloons

• Formula 2 Midgets
• Super Midgets
• Retro Rods
• American Saloons
• Formula N & C Class

Gates open @ 12:00 racing starts at 16:00

Adults R40
Children R20 (6 – 12 years old)
Embankment Parking vehicle only R40

Sufficient food and refreshments will be on sale at the circuit so you won’t go hungry or thirsty. But most of all bring the family, Grand Pa’s, Grand Ma’s, Moms bring the Dad’s and the kids too. The neighbours too must also come
