Want to start drifting and buy a car, Yunus

AutoModified Reply: Yunus the best place would be to start with a car thats within your budget. The Bmw E30 325i, Nissan 200SX, Toyota Corolla (e70) something that has a rear wheel drive setup and that has a fair bit of power to light up the back wheels. The next step would be to weld the diff or to buy a Limited Slip Differential if you have the money. Get loads of seat time in your car, attend track days and see if you can take part in drifting expose around your area. In Cape Town you can drift on Street 2 Strip nights for as little as R50 I think and thats around the oval section of the track.
Hopefully a couple of our drift nuts will jump onto the bandwagon here and offer some additional info.

Get your hands on a RWD car, stiffen the suspension and lock the diff. Then come to the next Street to Strip and sign up for drifting. Many of us there will give you tips and tricks and help you in getting started in drifting.

It’s R50 including entrance into Killarney and it a nice chilled vibe between all of us, we are all there to have fun and help or learn to improve our skills.

Hopefully see you soon at Killarney
