30 May 2011 No Comment

The fourth round of the Western Cape main circuit championship at Killarney on Saturday is going to have competitors scanning the mid-winter skies during the next few days, as they prepare for the possibility of a wet track.
Inclement weather is always a great leveler. Fast cars lose a measure of their muscular kilowatt advantage, with sheer driving skill (and a good set of wet weather tyres), taking over as more important factor…s in any winning strategy. And of course for those who do leave the blacktop, a run-off area that may remain benign when dry, can often become a hazardous bog stopper in the wet.

When: Saturday,4 June
Where: Killarney Race Track
Time: 8:00am – 5:30pm
