Another awesome build thread has popped up on the AutoModified Forum. This time it is a drift spec car in the form of a Bmw E36 with a turbo charged 328i motor. Derick bought the car stock standard and over a period of time has turned it into one of Cape Towns finest drifting Bmw’s. The engine has just been rebuilt and a new turbo has been added. You can follow Dericks drift car build here: http://automodified.net/forum/showthread.php?t=190 (please not you have to register to view the images on the forum)

BMW M3 Styling

Last night I came across these amazing pictures of this Bmw M3, Im not the worlds biggest BMW fan to be honest but something grabbed my attention. This is what I call body styling for a BMW, note how the car is lowered perfectly onto each wheel, the discs are shown off nicely by the set of BBS 3 piece split rim. If you look at the back wing you will notice its a 2 piece wing, which in my opinion looks totally hot. Look carefully in the interior, those …

Bmw M3 Bakkie version

Let your inner Boer drool over these images of an M3 bakkie that BMW actually was created, and tested on the Nurburgring, for its 1 April festivities. The once-off design shares its 309kW heart that of the M3 Coupe and features a super stylish Targa roof as well as the ability to haul 10 sets of semi slicks in its aluminium-clad load bin, which has a payload of 450kg.

Unfortunately this M3 version of a Bakkie will most likely never be produced. But if it was to be …

Modified Bmw X6 – LUMMA Design

Before I start doing off about how much I like the Bmw X6 have a look at this Modified version of the X6.

BMW X6 kits from LUMMA start on the outside, with monstrous 23” wheels and a full widebody kit including a fat 5cm fender extension, front and rear bumper spoilers and side skirts. Carbon-fiber inserts here and there specifically to give the X6 a more sport look. An air ducted carbon hood is also included in the kit. The CLR X 650 kit is used to wrap over those …

How to prepare your car for a road trip

Its December month, the festive season and time for that long awaited holiday (sigh). Most of us are planning taking a long trip to place or town, away from home! I am one of many people that are having concerns about taking a car on long trips, especially if the car is getting old. According to research, long trips are actually
easier on your car than day-to-day driving, but a breakdown far from home can really ruin your fun and can be costly. A few simple checks will save you a lot …
