BMW E30 Enthusiasts Shoot

Last week Wednesday I’ve received a phone call from the Dawg Father, Shahiem Bell, asking if I will be available to do an E30 photo shoot. Before I could give an answer the phone line went dead. I later found out that he was calling from a phonebooth, just outside his workplace in Sea Point. So on Sunday morning about 30 plus boxies and some crazy photographers rolled through to Link Road in Montaque Gardens. The weather was awesome. I came a bit late and almost missed out on the …

Spring Stance 2012 Edition

After going through one stressful week at work, I’ve decided to make a turn at the annual Spring Stance event. In the past all VAG owners used to take a drive and meet up at a certain spot, chillaxing and sharing ideas with other modfathers and sisters until law enforcement came along and spoiled most of the car culture fun. So, to keep the peace the event organizers decided to host it in a safe environment. This annual event took place at Buren High School in Brooklyn on Saturday 27 …

Tune your cars fortune – Chip Tuning

I woke up this morning thinking to myself, in South Africa we are sometimes very limited to certain services in the modified car industry. Then I got thinking about the different tuning software applications we have access to in South Africa. We have Robbie Ferroli who was one of the 1st guys to use the Revo Software and everybody went crazy for the Revo. After that we saw a brand called GIAC apear, which catered for most of your European turbo cars. CPI then reared its head and it seems …

Everyone is blessed with some kind of special skill. I met Rowan Dien a few years back at one of the Car shows. Years later we met again but this time on Facebook and now we are BBM buddies. He shares the same passion as most of our followers, and that ladies and gents, he puts onto paper. He is really blessed with some awesome drawing skills. He doesn’t only make drawings of cars, this man can basically draw anything and I mean anything. He uses 4 different pencils, beginners …

Cool Runnings – VW Bug Shoot

For some reason you can’t call a VW Bug a student car anymore. Why? Because down here in Cape Town they customize anything that is roadworthy approved or that can drive and spin. Look at Dirkie Binneman’s 1972 VW Beetle. This bug affair dated back into the early 2000’s when he laid his hands on his first “Kewer”. His dream was actually to become a BMX rider but faded after an accident he had at one of the competitions. All thanks Westcliff High school for gaining all his knowledge on …

The Rescue Rhino II Show and Sound

The Rescue Rhino II Show and Sound event was one great event, once again hosted by SSJ Concepts in conjunction with Team Autopunks. As always these guys raised the bar and was setting a good standard on how to host a fundraiser event. We were blessed with some nice summer weather and once again Cape Town petrol heads came out to show support.  The venue of choice was Goodwood Park Primary and with the show there was also a carnival. I must admit that I arrived a little later than …
