Rides and Vibes Car and Bike Show – Event Coverage

Accompanied by Mr Paul Walker Pakoe, we once again hit the streets of CPT in search of a car show and the smell of Meguair’s lead us to the “Rides and Vibes Car and Bike Show”.
All of this went down at Groote Schuur High School in Newlands on Saturday. They were blessed with some nice summer weather and the turnout speaks for itself. On arrival we were greeted by a fleet of shining metal and the smell of suntan lotion. Once again Cape Town modfathers and sisters supported an event …

Ms Hoons Rebuild progress – Mk2 GTI Turbo

So I’m not sure if most of you know, but our lady in red(ok yes the car is white, but red sounds good), Marlize had a bit of a accident a while back. Long story short some old lady was obvious jealous of how quick Marlize’s car was and decided to get T-boned by the nippy lil Mk2 GTI.

The official statement:

On Monday, the 14th of November I was innocently driving to work when a 70 year old lady decided to make a turn at the robot intersection right in front …

Intercoolers work much like the radiator of a car. The cold air from outside is forced through the fins of the intercooler to where the warm charge air is contained. This has the effect of reducing the warm air stored in …

Stance – Explained

Not too long ago I did a write up called: “From a judge’s point of view”. This was some useful tips for all our “show and shine” petrol heads. So, it’s just fair that I do something on Stance. This is to clear the confusion between the two as most petrol heads confuse the one with the other.
