What’s going down in your area

Like the heading says “what’s going down in your area”, this weekend we have a few treats happening down here in the cape.. Apparently the weather is supposed to be a bit crappy but that’s just according to the weather man, so lets hold thumbs the weather holds off a little longer.
So the line up goes as followes, we have Regional Racing at Killarney a Dyno day Hosted by MK1 Boyz @ Dynotech.
As far as we are aware of Cape Town seems to be the only place hosting events this weekend.

Regional Racing – Killarney

Main Circuit Racing tomorrow will have some special lunch time entertainment for a select few, spectators are going have a chance to be included in the high speed action at Killarney on Saturday when competitors in the Mobil Porsche Club GT Challenge Series act as “taxi” drivers during the lunch break.
The first of the 15 races due to start after the final qualifying and warm-up sessions, at 10h.20.
Admission:
R40 for adults
R10 for scholars under 16.
No charge for kiddies under 12.

Date: Saturday, July 10, 2010
Time: 8:00am – 6:00pm (Gates open at 7:00am)
Where: Killarney Race Track

Dyno Day – Mk1 Boyz Western Cape

Calling all car enthusiasts in the greater Western Cape area, Mk1 Boyz will be hosting a Dyno Day at DynoTech in Brackenfell.
Come put your car on the Dyno and find out exactly what your car is pushing out on the wheels.
Here is the information you will need:
Where: DynoTech, Brackenfell
When: 10 July 2010
Time: First dyno run starts at 8:00am

For those of you that want to put your car on the dyno, it will cost you only R80.00 and entries will be done upon arrival. So we suggest you get there as early as possible to avoid disappointment.
On the day there will be a hot dog and cool drink stand available to the public. Bring your friends and family along and support some of the cape’s wildest cars.
